Welcome to Casa Richard Academy!
Michigan’s 1st Charter High School where excellence is the norm, expectations are high and everyone is headed for success. Our efforts are empowered by our desire to prepare students to successfully transition from high school to higher education, career-readiness, and the competitive workforce.
Casa Richard Academy celebrates making AYP, making us
only one of four High
Schools in Detroit to meet or exceed
State standards! As Michigan’s first premier,
tuition-free, public charter school, we concentrate our energy and resources on
helping students’ master rigorous Michigan standards which have resulted in a
steady improvement in test scores, a marked reduction in the achievement gap,
and a good school rating.
The Academy sits next to the Historic Ste. Anne Church in Southwest Detroit. The surrounding community has undergone major development over the past several years, making for a safe environment conducive to learning. The building is magnificent in structure, clean, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
We witness daily the dramatic effects that technology has on students' interest in class activities and their sense of their own capabilities. It is with pride that we invite you to tour the Academy to see for yourself a school that is second to none.
